We are in the early stages of planning a video premiere party for Tage Plantell's "Chocolate Rock".  We have a lot of things we're working on for it, with some possible surprises up our sleeve!

The video premiere will be held in Denver, CO, at a yet to be determined location.  We are really hoping to see a lot of you there!  In addition to the debut of the video, there will also be live performances to check out.  You don't want to miss it!

While we put the final touches on the video and plan the party, check out our behind the scenes videos and photos.  Let us know what good music you have heard or seen lately.  Stay tuned for more details on the party...

We were fortunate enough to have our friend, Chad Moore, shooting still photos during our recent music video shoot for "Chocolate Rock".  There were a ton of great photos!  I'm going to give you a brief look at some of them here.  This is just the first batch - we'll have more to post tomorrow!  If you're ever in need of a great photographer, give Chad a shout.  Enjoy the photos!

In our final Behind the Scenes episode from the "Chocolate Rock" music video set, we have set up camp at our final location.  This scene was shot in one of the oldest building on the University of Colorado campus - Old Main.

We were fortunate to have several students from the CU Film School helping us out on the shoot.  They all did a terrific job, and kept a very positive attitude over the course of some long hours in cold temps.  Thanks guys!  We also were able to involve several students from the CU Theatre department, in various roles in the video.  They were all great to work with and truly enjoyable to have on set.

Last but not least, we want to thank all of the key people that donated their time on this shoot - Bryan, Chad, Ashley, Stig, and Joe.  Stay tuned for still photos from the shoot, courtesy of Chad Moore.

This video shows just a small portion of everything that was going on in this location.  Yes, I am on the phone every time you see me in this clip...I did switch phones at one point though!  Enjoy this last behind the scenes video, and stay tuned for the release of the "Chocolate Rock" music video!

Our fourth Behind the Scenes video from the "Chocolate Rock" music video shoot finds us in beautiful downtown Boulder, CO.  The music video will be released soon, but in the meantime, check out some of the off camera antics.

In our third installment of our Behind the Scenes posts from the video shoot, we have moved on to shooting day #2...on a whopping 1 1/2 hours of sleep!  As we mentioned in the previous posts, we are about to release the video for "Chocolate Rock", but wanted to show everyone what was happening when the camera wasn't rolling.

Day 2 started with a shoot at a coffee shop, thank god! (Don't think for a second that I didn't plan it that way)  Joe's Espresso in Boulder was not only kind enough to allow us to shoot at their fine establishment, but they also hooked us all up with coffee for the whole weekend!  We definitely would not have made it through without that.  Thanks guys!!  Check out the early morning fun with our "french" DP...

Welcome to the second installment of our Behind the Scenes posts from the video shoot.  As we mentioned in the last post, we are about to release the video for "Chocolate Rock", but wanted to share some of the debauchery from the video shoot itself.

In this behind the scenes clip, we are shooting in a cafe in downtown Denver.  Tage (from Silver Halide) and I used to work at this cafe, and want to thank them for allowing us to shoot there...well into the night/morning.  If you're ever in Denver - stop by Cafe Colore in Writers Square on the corner of 15th and Larimer - amazing Italian food!  We would also like to thank everyone for sticking around til the end - it was a very late night, and we appreciate you all sticking it out.  At this point of the shoot, we were running over 2 hours behind schedule, and ended up wrapping our first night's shoot at 4:45am.  So if I appear tired in this video, that's why...

It has been a month since my last update - yikes!  It's been a bit of a hectic month, to say the least.  We've been working on finalizing everything with the video for "Chocolate Rock" with Silver Halide Pictures, and are almost set to release it!  Before we let you see the finished product, we're going to post a series of Behind the Scenes videos from the shoot.  Things can be pretty interesting when you're shooting all hours of the day/nigh (on little to no sleep)t, in freezing cold temps in Colorado in February, and working with a bunch of smart asses.

This first video is from probably the coldest location of the whole shoot - shooting a car chase scene in an alley in Denver.  We had a couple of generators going, several good sized lights, and squealing brakes on the car (repeatedly)...and we didn't even get hassled by any of the neighbors.  Boring, I know.  We want to thank Jeremiah Hueske for allowing us to use his '67 Mustang for this portion of the shoot!  Anyway, enjoy this first behind the scenes look, and check back for more shortly!

We are only a day away from the music video shoot this weekend.  I'm working to get things set up to do a video blog throughout the shoot on Friday and Saturday.  I'll update as often as I can.  Check out the video player here for the latest post!

This week has been hectic, and looks like things are going to continue that way for a while.  I was in New Orleans for part of the week, and had the opportunity to make a guest appearance on the Artists House weekly live chat to talk about Music Business strategies.  Check out the video!  I had a great time, and really appreciate the opportunity to throw in my two cents about various things in music business.  Follow them on Twitter too - they post a ton of great stuff.

We are now less than one week away from the start of our next video shoot, and getting down to the wire!  One of the tough things about just getting things rolling is the struggle to use the resources we have to produce a great video.  This is a struggle  that a lot of independent artists have, and it takes some time to figure out how to effectively use the resources that you have.  You just have to learn to work with the things that you have.  There is no doubt in my mind that we will be able to pull the shoot off, and have an amazing finished product.  But this next week is going to be stressful, to say the least.

I'll try to update this again before the shoot, so stay tuned for last minute updates.  In a couple weeks or so, you'll start to see footage from the shoot here, including behind the scenes action.

Things are about to get crazy!  We have finished auditions for the upcoming music video we are doing in conjunction with Silver Halide Pictures.  Roles have been filled, the production crew has come together, and now the real fun begins.

It seems like there are a million things that need to happen in the next two weeks in order to pull this off, but we always make it happen.  The shoot has developed into a bigger production than we had initially planned, but the end product is going to be amazing.

In addition to the upcoming video shoot, we are in full swing prepping for SXSW.  We are trying to finalize some meetings, and get our full plan in place before then.  We're really looking forward to getting back to SXSW and checking out some great music.

On a side note, you can catch me this coming Wednesday making a "guest appearance" on the Artists House live chat at 7pm ET.  Check out the Artists House Chat! Artists House is a group of people that work in the music business putting a lot of great info out right now - different view points, news, etc.

Check back for updates on everything we have coming up, and thanks for stopping by.
